Vauxhall has introduced the 'Mokka Coffe-e', a one-off electric vehicle designed to enhance the coffee break experience for EV drivers. This innovative concept emerged from research indicating that 75% of EV drivers plan their journeys around charging points that offer coffee. The Mokka Coffe-e features an onboard coffee machine setup, including two coffee machines—ground and pod—along with a milk steamer, coffee grinder, and a fridge, transforming the vehicle's 310-litre boot into a mobile café. The bespoke café setup includes a pull-out drawer equipped with barista-quality tools, ensuring that coffee enthusiasts can craft the perfect cappuccino while their vehicle charges. The design incorporates precision tools such as scales for measuring coffee beans and an espresso tamper for optimal extraction, catering to the discerning coffee drinker. Additionally, the vehicle comes with handcrafted British-made Fox umbrellas, adding a touch of elegance to the coffee experience. Vauxhall has partnered with British artisanal coffee roasters Cafeology to create a special range of coffee blends inspired by the Mokka Electric's color palette. The six blends, roasted and packaged in Sheffield, feature unique flavor profiles, from the creamy 'Iconic Green' to the robust 'Carbon Black', appealing to a variety of taste preferences. While the Mokka Coffe-e's setup is impressive, it is noted that it pales in comparison to luxury offerings like the £44,000 champagne chest available for Rolls-Royce owners. The Mokka Electric itself boasts rapid charging capabilities, achieving 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes, with a range of up to 252 miles on a single charge.
