Now residing between the United Kingdom and the United States on a marriage visa, Hartnett is dedicated to his family, which includes four children. He expressed how quickly time has passed, noting that his oldest daughter is already eight and a half years old. Hartnett emphasized the importance of balancing work and family, stating, "I just didn’t want my life to be swallowed up by my work." Ultimately, Hartnett's choice to leave Hollywood reflects a desire for a fulfilling life beyond the pressures of fame, allowing him to nurture his family while maintaining his peace of mind.
