Story

Great South Bay Brewery has recently debuted its first restaurant outside of its brewery location at the Station Yards multiuse development in Ronkonkoma, New York, on October 11, 2024. This expansive 8,400-square-foot venue boasts a capacity for 355 diners, differentiating itself from the original bank-turned-restaurant in Lindenhurst by featuring a straightforward layout. Instead of three levels, this new establishment offers a large main room, ideal for both dining and hosting events like cornhole games. The brewery has strategically honed its menu by analyzing six months of customer data from its Lindenhurst location, allowing for a focus on best-selling items such as smash burgers, pizza, and wings. Executive chef Chris Palmer decided to simplify the offerings by eliminating less popular dishes, ensuring that the new venue maintains a strong appeal for patrons seeking traditional pub fare. Among the menu highlights are creative takes on classic dishes, like crab Rangoon egg rolls and stuffed paninis baked in pizza dough. The bar features a total of 24 taps, with 20 dedicated to Great South Bay's own craft brews, while the remaining taps showcase local brands. This expansion marks a significant move for the company, which has previously maintained a strong establishment in Bay Shore and has successfully transitioned into a space more conducive to community gatherings. Brian Davis, a co-owner, expressed enthusiasm about the new location's potential to attract larger parties. Overall, the Ronkonkoma opening signals a continued commitment to quality food, local craft beers, and a vibrant dining experience.
