The Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be featured in over 70 billboards across Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. This marks the first paid advertising campaign since Walz joined the ticket, aiming to solidify support in areas critical to the election outcome. The billboards will be strategically placed in major urban centers, including Atlanta, Detroit, Charlotte, and Philadelphia, along key highways such as Interstate 95 and Interstate 10. DNC spokesperson Abhi Rahman emphasized the campaign's message, stating that Harris and Walz are committed to advocating for working-class Americans, contrasting their platform with that of Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance. Financially, the Harris-Walz campaign is well-positioned, having raised $310 million in July and entering August with $377 million in available funds. In comparison, the Trump campaign reported raising over $138 million last month, with $327 million on hand. The advertising initiative follows a successful tour by Harris and Walz through battleground states, where they drew enthusiastic crowds, although a planned stop in North Carolina was postponed due to Tropical Storm Debby.
