MLB Game at NASCAR Track in Tennessee

In a groundbreaking announcement, Major League Baseball (MLB) revealed that the iconic Bristol Motor Speedway will host a regular-season game for the first time on August 2, 2025. The matchup will feature the Atlanta Braves facing off against the Cincinnati Reds, marking the first in-season MLB game to take place in Tennessee. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred expressed excitement about the event, emphasizing the celebration of sports, music, and community traditions in the region. Bristol Motor Speedway, one of the largest sporting venues in the United States, boasts a seating capacity of nearly 150,000. This game is poised to set a new single-game attendance record for Major League Baseball, surpassing the previous record of 115,300 set during an exhibition game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 2008. In contrast, typical MLB ballparks accommodate around 40,000 to 45,000 fans. The announcement aligns with MLB's strategy to broaden its reach by introducing games in unconventional venues.
