FORT WORTH – De Aujalae Evans, a 25-year-old woman, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter following a tragic incident that resulted in the death of Fort Worth police sergeant Billy Randolph. According to an arrest warrant, Evans admitted to consuming 10 shots of alcohol over a four-hour period prior to the fatal accident on August 12. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on I-35W, where Evans struck Randolph while he was attending to a fuel spill outside his vehicle. Evans reportedly failed a field sobriety test after the collision and initially refused to provide a blood sample at John Peter Smith Hospital.
