Mike Waltz, Florida Congressman, Set to Release Leadership Book This Fall

Rep. Mike Waltz, a Republican from Florida’s 6th Congressional District and the first Green Beret elected to Congress, is set to publish his new book, "Hard Truths: Think and Lead Like a Green Beret," this fall. The retired colonel aims to share insights from his military background, emphasizing the mindset necessary for success in various fields, including combat, business, and politics. Waltz's experiences as a Green Beret, particularly during his service in Afghanistan, serve as the foundation for the lessons he imparts in the book. In "Hard Truths," Waltz recounts significant moments from his military career, including a harrowing incident where a young boy was used by the Taliban to direct mortar attacks against his unit.
