The LinkBuds Open have a smaller design and improved sound quality with an 11-millimeter speaker, while the LinkBuds Fit are lighter and come with shorter ear tips for better fit. However, the Fit has a slightly reduced battery life of 5.5 hours compared to its predecessor. The LinkBuds Fit also incorporate advanced technology from Sony's WF-1000XM5 earbuds, including the V2 processor for active noise cancellation and ambient sound modes. They support high-resolution audio streaming through Sony's LDAC codec, enhancing the listening experience. Additionally, users can customize the appearance of the Fit with interchangeable silicone wings available in various colors. Alongside the earbuds, Sony introduced the LinkBuds Speaker, which features a unique Auto Switch mode that allows playback to transition from the earbuds to the speaker when the user approaches it. This speaker also includes a microphone for speakerphone functionality and can be integrated into daily routines via a mobile app. These new products reflect Sony's commitment to improving user experience in audio technology, catering to consumers who prioritize comfort, sound quality, and hands-free control in their devices.
