Richard E Grant surprises fans at Edinburgh Fringe to support Miriam Margolyes

Richard E Grant made a delightful appearance at the Edinburgh Festival, surprising attendees as he came to support his longtime friend, Miriam Margolyes. The two actors first crossed paths while filming Martin Scorsese's Academy Award-winning film, *The Age of Innocence*, in 1993. Margolyes is currently performing in the Edinburgh Fringe production *Margolyes & Dickens: The Best Bits*, where she engaged in a lively Q&A session discussing her experiences with difficult co-stars and her views on politics. After the show, Grant expressed his admiration for Margolyes, stating, "I saw my pal Miriam Margolyes in her wonderful show Dicken's Women by Fane Productions in Edinburgh today." The teetotal actor, who is allergic to alcohol, opted for an ice-cold coffee while attending the Cold Brew comedy show at the Mashhouse. In addition to his festival activities, Grant is currently filming a new HBO series titled *The Franchise*, directed by Oscar winner Sam Mendes. Meanwhile, Margolyes has enjoyed a prolific career in theatre, recently revealing her success on Cameo, where she has made significant earnings by creating personalized messages for fans.
