Scottish Power invests £8m in Lowestoft offshore wind farm base

Scottish Power has announced a significant investment of £8 million to establish a long-term operational base for its offshore wind activities in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The site, located on Trinity Road, will serve as a hub for the company’s operations and maintenance for the East Anglia Three offshore wind farm, which is currently under construction and expected to be operational by 2026. This new facility will accommodate approximately 100 staff members, enhancing the local workforce and supporting the growing renewable energy sector in the region. The decision to invest in Lowestoft aligns with Scottish Power's commitment to expanding its offshore wind capabilities. The new base will be strategically positioned near the existing operations and maintenance base for the East Anglia One offshore wind farm, which is already operational. RJ Pryce, the current occupants of the site, will relocate to a nearby location, allowing Scottish Power to take over the premises.
