Man linked to multiple killings in PPP loan fraud scheme

In May 2023, Michael Coleman, 40, was arrested in Las Vegas for the murder of Kidada Stewart, 48. During the investigation, police uncovered a connection between Coleman and a group involved in a PPP loan fraud scheme. It was revealed that Carl Chester, a member of this group, allegedly hired Coleman to eliminate former associates and their families. Chester himself was murdered earlier this year, believed to be a retaliation for the killing of William Hill Jr., who was shot in 2022 while working on a car. Investigators suspect that Hill was targeted in place of his son, currently imprisoned for PPP loan fraud, as Coleman could not reach the son directly. The police have since filed three additional murder charges against Coleman, linking him to these violent acts. The implications of these charges may affect Coleman's upcoming trial, which was initially set for October.
