McCain, originally drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2015, spent his first six seasons with the franchise before playing for the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants. His familiarity with the Vikings' coaching staff, particularly defensive coordinator Brian Flores and defensive backs coach Daronte Jones, is expected to enhance his integration into the team. Standing at 5-foot-9 and weighing 196 pounds, McCain has primarily played cornerback but has also transitioned to safety under Flores' guidance.
