Elderly Man Assaulted in Fells Point

BALTIMORE – Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal assault of 74-year-old David Philpot, who died following an attack in Fells Point over the weekend. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue, where Philpot was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Baltimore County Police apprehended Timothy Clinedinst in Dundalk after releasing images of the suspect and seeking public assistance in identifying him. The swift action by law enforcement led to Clinedinst's capture, providing some relief to the community shaken by the violent crime. Baltimore City Councilman Zeke Cohen expressed gratitude for the collaboration between Baltimore City and County police in a social media post.
