Kenya's Faith Kipyegon has etched her name in Olympic history by becoming the first woman to win three consecutive gold medals in the 1,500 metres. Australia’s Jessica Hull and the UK’s Georgia Bell secured silver and bronze, finishing in 3:52.56 and 3:52.61, respectively. Kipyegon executed a strategic race, initially allowing Ethiopia's Gudaf Tsegay to set the pace. As the race progressed, Kipyegon moved into position and took the lead after the final lap. With 200 metres remaining, she surged ahead, leaving her competitors unable to catch her as she crossed the finish line, solidifying her status as the "Queen of 1,500 metres" in her home country.
