Yellowstone Actress Sues for Defamation Over Horse Abuse Claims

Dawn Olivieri, known for her role in the series "Yellowstone," has initiated legal action against several individuals for allegedly making false statements that have severely impacted her career. The 43-year-old actress filed the lawsuit last month, claiming that these defamatory remarks have harmed her professional relationships and brand partnerships, as reported by TMZ. In her court filing, Olivieri asserts that the false claims, which include shocking allegations of horse abuse and even killing horses, were aimed at sabotaging her potential collaborations with businesses, notably a campaign with workwear brand Dickies. She contends that after posting promotional content on social media, a coordinated effort emerged to undermine her brand deals, particularly from horse-related influencers who accused her sanctuary, Moon Mountain, of mistreating animals. Olivieri refutes the allegations, stating that they have no basis in reality and have led to the collapse of her campaign with Dickies, as well as other potential partnerships. The actress claims that despite her attempts to reach out to the defendants to cease their defamatory actions, they have continued to spread damaging information about her. Additionally, Olivieri has reported receiving "terroristic threats" linked to these accusations, including a chilling claim from one defendant suggesting she could be "unalived." With a career spanning nearly two decades, Olivieri has appeared in various television series and films, including her role as Claire Dutton in the Paramount+ series "1883."
