The upcoming 2024 film promises to deliver an exhilarating blend of action and a vibrant country music soundtrack, featuring contributions from renowned artists such as Miranda Lambert, Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll. Notably, Shania Twain makes a return, having songs featured in both the 2024 film and the original 1996 movie. Her classic "No One Needs to Know" from the earlier film is complemented by her new collaboration with Breland, titled "Boots Don't," which was serendipitously included in the latest soundtrack. Breland shared insights with Billboard, explaining that while "Boots Don't" was not originally written for the film, it aligned perfectly with the movie's needs. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, "It wasn’t something we were specifically writing for the soundtrack; we were just fortunate that what they were looking for was something we already had." This highlights the film's unique approach to integrating music into its narrative. Director Lee Isaac Chung selected approximately 20 scenes that required original music, leading Atlantic Records to curate a roster of artists to create songs tailored to these moments. Chung remarked on the novelty of a country album accompanying an action film, emphasizing the innovative direction of the project. The soundtrack features a variety of tracks, including "Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma" by Luke Combs, "The Cards I’ve Been Dealt" by Warren Zeiders, "Song While You’re Away" by Tyler Childers, and "Leave the Light On" by Jelly Roll, showcasing the diverse talent within the country music genre.
