Sir James Nicol Walker CBE, known as Jim, passed away on December 15, 2024, at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Born on June 13, 1944, in Elgin, Scotland, he was the son of James and Winnie Walker. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant growth, moving from a turnover of £40,000 at the time Jim joined to an impressive £184 million by 2023. In recognition of his work, he received honors including the Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth in 2002 and was awarded a CBE in 1999 for services to industry. In 2022, he further achieved knighthood, signifying his outstanding contributions to the food sector.
