On April 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bihar to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for numerous development projects with a combined worth of over Rs 13,480 crore. This visit coincided with the celebration of National Panchayati Raj Day, a significant occasion aimed at promoting local governance in rural areas. In Madhubani district, PM Modi addressed a large public gathering where he emphasized the importance of strengthening villages for the overall development of India. Various initiatives related to railways, LPG distribution, infrastructure improvement, and rural empowerment were highlighted during this event. During the event, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for multiple infrastructure projects including an LPG bottling plant in Gopalganj which is valued at approximately Rs 340 crore. This will enhance the efficiency of bulk LPG transportation within the state. Furthermore, he inaugurated several initiatives in the power sector as part of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme, which aimed at boosting the region's power infrastructure with investments exceeding Rs 5,030 crore. The Prime Minister also announced projects worth over Rs 1,170 crore aimed at improving overall power distribution in Bihar, significantly benefiting the local populace.
