Miami Beach man finds burglar trapped in his Corvette

On a Monday morning in Miami Beach, Julio Solano returned to his parked Corvette after breakfast to find an unexpected intruder, 33-year-old Ravesh Rabindranauth, trapped inside. The incident occurred in a parking garage located at Washington Avenue and 16th Street. Rabindranauth was unable to escape due to the car's security system, which prevented the electrical components from functioning without the keys. He was recorded pleading for help from Solano, who informed him that he would be calling the police. Miami Beach police responded promptly to the scene and arrested Rabindranauth, who now faces charges of burglary. Solano noted that the intruder was unaware of the manual door release located under the seat, which could have allowed him to escape. The situation was further complicated by the fact that Rabindranauth had no local criminal history or outstanding warrants, as revealed by a routine records check conducted by the authorities. After being read his Miranda rights, Rabindranauth agreed to speak with the officers.
