NASHVILLE, Tenn. The Titans showcased resilience, rallying twice in the fourth quarter, with Mason Rudolph stepping up as a strong contender for the backup quarterback position behind Will Levis. Titans head coach Brian Callahan initially started Malik Willis, the 2022 third-round pick, who managed a commendable 14-play drive that resulted in Narveson’s first field goal, narrowing the score to 12-10. Willis also orchestrated a 78-yard drive culminating in a touchdown pass to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, bringing the Titans within striking distance at 9-7. Rudolph, who took over at halftime, further solidified his case by completing 11 of 14 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown, leading the Titans to their first lead of the game with a 59-yard field goal. On the Seahawks' side, quarterback Sam Howell led a drive that set up Jason Myers for a 48-yard field goal, giving Seattle a 12-7 halftime advantage. With Geno Smith expected to play in the upcoming preseason finale, the Seahawks are preparing for their next matchup against Cleveland on August 24. Injuries marred the game for both teams, with Titans wide receiver Kearis Jackson suffering a knee injury and rookie running back Jabari Small entering concussion protocol. The Titans also dealt with injuries to key players, including DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks.
