- Bardeen raises $3M from Dropbox and HubSpot to develop AI platform.
- The platform uses natural language interface to automate repetitive knowledge work.
- This funding will propel Bardeen's innovative AI technology forward.
Bardeen, a startup focused on automating repetitive knowledge work, has announced the launch of its new platform following a successful funding round. The company has attracted significant investment from Dropbox Ventures and HubSpot Ventures, which will not only provide financial support but also assist in distributing Bardeen’s technology. With over 300,000 users and more than 1,000 paying customers, including notable firms like Deel and WPP, Bardeen is positioning itself as a key player in the automation space. Founded in 2020 by Artem Harutyunyan and Pascal Weinberger, Bardeen’s platform operates as a browser extension that utilizes a natural language interface. This allows users to input commands for tasks such as taking meeting notes or sending PDFs, with the platform learning from user interactions to improve repeatability. This feature addresses a common challenge in AI applications, where consistency in responses can be difficult to achieve. Weinberger explained that once the platform learns a specific task, it can replicate the process in future requests, akin to training a personal assistant. Bardeen employs advanced models, including Gemini for translation and OpenAI’s GPT for specific automation tasks, while continuously benchmarking new models to enhance its capabilities. As established competitors like Zapier and UiPath strive to keep pace, Bardeen appears well-positioned to advance in the automation market, leveraging its innovative approach and strategic partnerships to gain a competitive edge.
