Sephora to open new store at Manhattan West in 2024

Sephora is set to enhance its presence in New York City with a new 6,200 square-foot store at Brookfield Properties’ Manhattan West, scheduled to open in 2024. This location will be situated between Ninth and Tenth avenues, close to the popular High Line Park. The area has seen a significant increase in foot traffic, particularly following the opening of the Moynihan Connector, which links the High Line with the Manhattan West public plaza. This uptick in visitors has contributed to a 20% year-over-year sales growth for retailers in the complex in 2024. The new store will join a variety of wellness-focused tenants, including Silver Mirror and Peloton Studios, within the thriving eight-acre development. Despite Sephora's previous closure of its Hudson Yards location due to the pandemic, the brand continues to maintain a strong foothold in the city, with approximately 27 outlets, including its largest store on West 34th Street and a new location opening soon in Harlem. The decision to open a new store reflects Sephora's confidence in the retail market's recovery and growth potential in the area.
