The arrests were made on Monday, although the police have not disclosed the identities of the suspects involved. The shooting took place on Saturday morning, prompting a swift response from law enforcement after a ShotSpotter alert indicated gunfire in the area. Upon arrival at the scene on the 1600 block of 83rd Avenue, officers discovered four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were transported to local hospitals, where they remain in critical condition. Authorities are currently withholding the names of the victims as they work to notify their next of kin. Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation among several individuals. The situation escalated when one of the suspects brandished a firearm and opened fire on the group, ultimately fleeing the scene in a vehicle before police arrived. The case against the arrested suspects will be forwarded to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office for further legal proceedings.
