Pune experiences thunder, lightning, and rain from October 19 to 24

In India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, for the city of Pune until October 21, 2024. The weather conditions will include a generally cloudy sky on October 18 and 19, transitioning to a partly cloudy sky by October 20 and 21. Temperatures during this period are expected to range from a maximum of 31 to 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. In another incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's helicopter was forced to return to his native village due to adverse weather conditions on the afternoon of October 19. Although the weather was clear initially, rain clouds appeared suddenly, prompting the pilots to prioritize safety and turn back to the helipad in Satara. The chief minister was ultimately unharmed and continued his journey to Pune by car. Shinde was meant to travel to Delhi from Pune later that day, illustrating the impact of unpredictable weather on travel plans in the region.
