Grandma shoots granddaughter in eye, expresses no remorse

In December 2022, a tragic incident occurred in Liberty Township, Ohio, when a grandmother, Mia Desiree Harris, intentionally shot her six-month-old granddaughter in the eye. The police were alerted around 1:50 AM after a frantic 911 call reported that the infant had been shot. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that Harris had also assaulted other family members prior to the shooting, including firing multiple shots through a door to access the room where the child was sleeping. Detective Daniel Turner revealed that after breaking into the room, Harris shot the child's mother in the head, narrowly missing her skull, before turning her weapon on the infant. Following the shooting, Harris fled the scene but was quickly identified and apprehended by authorities. During questioning, she expressed a disturbing rationale for her actions, claiming the baby was not her grandchild and alleging that her family was attempting to steal her money.
