Water Supply Disruption in Pimpri-Chinchwad on September 3-4

Residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad are facing a temporary disruption in their water supply due to essential maintenance and repairs at the Rawet water treatment plant. Scheduled for September 3, this maintenance will lead to a complete halt of the evening water supply after the morning distribution. Furthermore, the water supply will also be affected on the morning of September 4. The disruption is primarily caused by a significant leak in the Municipal Corporation's main water line located at Thermax Chowk, necessitating urgent repairs on the same day. The areas impacted by this disruption include Bhosari, Shanti Nagar, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Dighi, Bopkhel, Magazine, Vadmukhwadi (in some parts), Gajanan Nagar, B U Bhandari, and the Indrayani Nagar tank area under the E Zonal Office. Residents in these regions will not have access to water on September 3, and the situation will continue into the following morning. In light of these circumstances, the E Zonal Office has issued a request to the public to conserve the limited water supply available from the Municipal Corporation. This call for conservation is crucial as the repairs may take time, and the water supply system needs to be restored to normal functioning. The situation highlights the importance of maintaining infrastructure to prevent such disruptions. Residents are advised to plan accordingly and use water sparingly during this period to mitigate the inconvenience caused by the supply interruption.
