Story

Leicester City is reportedly in negotiations to secure a season-long loan for winger Wilfried Zaha from Galatasaray. The 31-year-old missed Galatasaray's recent match against Hatayspor as he explores a potential return to the Premier League. Zaha, who joined the Turkish club in the summer of 2023 after leaving Crystal Palace, has found himself lower in the team's hierarchy and is keen to re-enter the English football scene. If the transfer materializes, Zaha will become Leicester's fifth signing of the summer, joining new recruits Bobby De Cordova Reid, Michael Golding, Caleb Okoli, and Abdul Fatawu. During his first season with Galatasaray, Zaha made a significant impact, scoring ten goals and providing five assists in 42 appearances, contributing to the club's Turkish SuperLig title victory. Crystal Palace, Zaha's former club, is also exploring the possibility of re-signing the forward, having already engaged in discussions with Galatasaray. Should Palace successfully bring Zaha back, it would mark the third time he has joined the club, where he has previously netted 90 goals and provided 62 assists across 458 matches since coming through their youth academy. As both Leicester and Crystal Palace prepare for their respective Premier League seasons, Leicester will face Lens in their final pre-season match, while Palace concludes their preparations against Nantes before starting their campaign against Brentford on August 18.
