The operation was carried out by the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) in collaboration with the Ilfov Organized Crime Service. The searches were conducted under warrants related to serious charges, including forming an organized criminal group, trafficking in minors, and money laundering. This latest police action comes as Tate and his brother, Tristan, await trial on separate charges of rape and human trafficking. The new developments could potentially lead to additional legal repercussions for the Tates, who have consistently denied all allegations against them. Following the searches, Andrew Tate took to social media platform X, asserting that the accusations are part of a broader conspiracy against him, claiming, "The Matrix is real." The Tates were initially arrested in December 2022 and had been under house arrest until their release in August 2023. They face serious charges, including human trafficking and forming a criminal gang aimed at exploiting women. In a related legal matter, a Romanian court approved the extradition of the Tates based on a British warrant concerning alleged crimes committed between 2012 and 2015, further complicating their legal situation.
