- Stevie Nicks was hospitalized for two days due to a 'weird' infection.
- As a result, she has had to cancel a concert in Glasgow.
- Fans are concerned about her health following this unexpected news.
Stevie Nicks recently opened up about a serious health scare that led to the postponement of her concerts in Glasgow and Manchester. During a rescheduled performance on July 24, the Fleetwood Mac singer recounted her alarming experience while staying in a “fabulous castle” in Glasgow ahead of her July 6 concert. Nicks described a moment in the early hours when she felt unwell and urged her assistant to seek emergency medical help. After spending two days in the hospital, Nicks returned to the castle but ultimately decided to cancel the Glasgow show. Addressing her fans, she expressed her determination to return, stating, “I’ve been fighting this for this whole thing,” which elicited cheers from the audience. The health crisis forced her to postpone not only the Glasgow show but also her July 9 performance in Manchester, although she successfully played the rescheduled Manchester concert on July 16. Despite the health challenges, Nicks managed to perform at BST Hyde Park in London on July 12 as scheduled. During her performances, she reflected on the emotional weight of her songs, particularly those dedicated to her late friend Christine McVie, who passed away. Nicks poignantly shared, “It’s always heavy to ask someone to come and sing the song with you when you’re singing about your best friend that died so suddenly and so sadly.”
