Merseyside Police have unveiled CCTV images of 12 individuals in connection with recent disturbances in the region, part of a broader trend of violence linked to anti-immigrant sentiments across the UK. The unrest has seen mosques attacked and hotels housing asylum seekers targeted, prompting a swift judicial response with sentences of up to three years already handed down to participants in the violence. In a notable shift, fears of over 100 far-right demonstrations dissipated as thousands of anti-racism protesters took to the streets on Wednesday night.
