Indore, Madhya Pradesh – DSP Praveen Singh Baghel, currently serving in the Indore unit of Lokayukta, has been awarded the esteemed President's Police Service Medal for meritorious services in 2024. Baghel, who joined the Madhya Pradesh Police in 2000, has a notable career that includes two years in anti-Naxal operations and subsequent roles in dacoity eradication. Following his promotion, he contributed to training at the Regional Police Academy. He is the son of retired Principal PR Baghel and is an alumnus of Mission School, Seoni, where he completed his class 12 in 1991. In addition to his police service, Baghel has a diverse educational background, holding degrees in Arts, Law, and Journalism. His early involvement in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) led him to participate in the Republic Day Parade in 1994, showcasing his commitment to service and community pride. In a separate event, a one-day employment fair was held at the District Employment Office in Indore, where 184 applicants were successfully selected for various job positions. The fair attracted 291 registrations, with representatives from 11 companies conducting initial interviews. Deputy Director of Employment, PS Mandloi, reported that the selected candidates included 48 girls and 136 boys, filling roles such as Sales Executive, Store Supervisor, Digital Marketing, and more. This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities in the region, providing a platform for job seekers to connect with potential employers and secure positions across diverse sectors.
