Fort Worth ISD shows academic progress amid education calls for change

Fort Worth Independent School District has reported significant academic progress based on the latest STAAR test scores. The district highlighted E.M. Daggett Elementary School as a notable success, improving its rating from a 'D' to a 'B'. Hollins pointed out that despite the district's portrayal of positive ratings, there are concerns about declining scores among students. She urged parents to critically evaluate the reported results rather than accepting them at face value. This sentiment reflects a broader call for educational reform and improvement in the district. The Fort Worth School District is set to present this year's STAAR Performance and Accountability ratings at an upcoming board meeting, where further discussions on educational strategies and community concerns are expected to take place.
