In a vibrant transformation, Paige Bueckers, the anticipated first pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, has dyed her hair pink, a change she proudly showcased on her Instagram. The star athlete expressed her enthusiasm for the new look in a TikTok video, playfully dubbing herself "Pink Paige." The hair color, named "Sparkling Rosé," is part of a promotional collaboration with Madison Reed, a hair color company with which Bueckers has signed an NIL deal. The partnership with Madison Reed includes Bueckers and her UConn teammates, who will serve as brand ambassadors for the company’s ColorWonder demi-permanent hair color. Alongside Bueckers, teammates Azzi Fudd and Cheli have also embraced new hair colors, with Fudd opting for a vibrant red violet and Cheli choosing a reddish-brown tint. This collaboration marks a three-year sponsorship of UConn basketball’s venues, Gampel Pavilion and XL Center, by the female-founded brand. In addition to her hair color venture, Bueckers has secured an ownership stake in Unrivaled Basketball, a league co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. This new league is set to launch its inaugural season in January 2025, further solidifying Bueckers' influence in the sport as she prepares for her professional career.
