Community comes together to support The Salvation Army this Christmas

In Singapore, the holiday season is marked by philanthropic opportunities and family-friendly activities. The Salvation Army is actively recruiting volunteers to participate in its Christmas kettling initiative. Volunteers will take part in ringing bells to encourage shoppers to contribute to the charity’s red kettles, which will fund various programs benefitting children, youth, the elderly, migrant workers, and ex-offenders. Families can choose from numerous locations islandwide and volunteer alongside their children, who will be recognized with a certificate of appreciation upon completing their shifts. Additionally, UOL Malls are hosting a festive event featuring the popular children's character, Doraemon. Children can engage in a creative activity by writing down their holiday gift wishes on Doraemon-themed cards, which are displayed on Christmas trees located throughout the malls. This event invites children to select wishes to fulfill and enjoy a free musical presentation of Doraemon until early December. Moreover, the Paw Patrol characters are set to entertain young audiences with a performance called The Great Pirate Adventure at Sands Theatre from December 12 to 15. The beloved characters, including Chase, Marshall, and Skye, will take the audience on a thrilling mission, encouraging children to sing and dance along in a 90-minute production designed for family enjoyment. Tickets are priced between $58 and $143, and all attendees, regardless of age, must possess a ticket for entry to the show. Overall, these events highlight opportunities for families to bond while contributing to community welfare and enjoying engaging performances that bring holiday cheer.
