Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has finalized a four-year contract extension valued at $220 million, according to sources familiar with the agreement. The deal includes a substantial $75 million signing bonus and $155 million in guaranteed money. This contract comes on the heels of Love's impressive performance last season, where he led the NFL's youngest team to a 10-9 record and a playoff appearance, stepping into the role after the departure of four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers, who was traded to the New York Jets in April 2023. Despite ongoing contract negotiations, the 25-year-old Love continued to participate in team activities during training camp, although he was not practicing. His previous contract, which was set to expire at the end of the upcoming season, had been extended for one year in May 2023, providing the Packers with an opportunity to assess his capabilities as a starter. Last season, Love showcased his potential by completing 64.2% of his passes for 4,159 yards, along with 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His performance notably improved as the season progressed, highlighted by a remarkable nine-game stretch where he threw 21 touchdown passes with just one interception, culminating in a wild-card playoff victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Love's achievements place him among an elite group of quarterbacks, as he is one of only four to throw for over 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns in their first season with multiple starts, joining the ranks of Kurt Warner, Patrick Mahomes, and Daunte Culpepper.
