Elderly couple killed in hit-and-run outside Kanpur temple at dawn

On Saturday morning, an elderly couple was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident outside the Anandeshwar Shiv Temple in Kanpur. The accident occurred around 5 AM when a car, driven by a temple visitor, reversed and struck the couple while they were sleeping near the temple premises. Local residents reported that the couple, estimated to be around 85 or 86 years old, were begging at the time of the incident. Authorities have confirmed that both victims were sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
