Delegates from the Uncommitted National Movement are staging a sit-in at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, protesting the party's refusal to allow a Palestinian American speaker on the main stage. Despite ongoing negotiations with party leaders, the Uncommitted National Movement has not secured a speaking slot. They have proposed a list of vetted Palestinian American speakers, hoping to elevate the issue within the party framework. The United Auto Workers and other supporters have echoed the call for representation, asserting that ignoring Palestinian voices undermines the party's commitment to peace and justice in the region.
