Her tenure included significant challenges and achievements such as navigating the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and implementing various changes within the agency, including the redesign of the bus network and the introduction of the SEPTA Key Advantage system. In her announcement, Richards expressed pride in her leadership, highlighting the dedication of SEPTA's 9,500 employees to the community.
