In June 2025, Scotland's rugby squad has announced its squad for a crucial three-match summer tour in the South Pacific. The tour features matches against the Maori All Blacks, Fiji, and Samoa. This tour is significant for Scotland as it affects their world-ranking points ahead of the World Cup draw, which is scheduled for November. Head coach Gregor Townsend emphasized the importance of winning these test matches, highlighting the need for a strong squad to face competitive opponents like Fiji and Samoa. Rory Darge has been appointed as the captain for this tour. George Turner is making his return to the national squad after a year away from international rugby due to playing with Kobelco Kobe Steelers in Japan. Now signed with Harlequins for the upcoming season, his participation is seen as a valuable asset. The squad also includes uncapped players like Fergus Burke, Alexander Masibaka, and Fin Richardson, while established players such as Matt Fagerson are included despite previous injuries.
