Volt Lithium secures $2 million grant to boost lithium extraction efforts

Volt Lithium Corp., a lithium development company based in Calgary, Alberta, has secured additional funding amounting to $2 million from the State of North Dakota on March 31, 2025. This grant is earmarked for furthering the company's proprietary direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology, aiming to enhance domestic lithium production. The funding reinforces the state's commitment to critical minerals development, facilitating the transition from hydrocarbon operations to sustainable lithium extraction. The collaboration with Wellspring Hydro aligns with national objectives to support onshore critical minerals production, ensuring energy independence and creating local jobs.
