In 2024, the economic climate posed significant challenges for small businesses in the United States as data from a Federal Reserve survey indicated that many companies experienced a downturn in revenue. For the first time in three years, there was a notable trend where small businesses reported an increase in revenue declines compared to gains. The survey collected information from more than 7,600 firms with fewer than 500 employees, highlighting a worrying shift in performance.
