Crystal Palace Offers £14m for Lacroix as Andersen Moves to Fulham

Crystal Palace has submitted a bid of up to £14 million for Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix as the club seeks to fill the void left by Joachim Andersen, who is on the verge of joining Fulham. The Denmark international is set to undergo a medical on Wednesday after Fulham matched Palace's £30 million valuation, following an earlier rejected offer of £20 million. Andersen's departure comes after he spent less than two years at Selhurst Park, having previously been on loan at Craven Cottage during the 2020-21 season. As Palace looks to secure Lacroix, Fulham is also in the market for additional reinforcements. The club is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Sander Berge, with Burnley accepting a £25 million offer for the Norwegian midfielder. This move would bolster Fulham's midfield options as they prepare for the upcoming season. In addition to Berge, Fulham has made a bid of £12 million plus add-ons for Lyon's Rayan Cherki, a 21-year-old attacking midfielder who is also attracting interest from Crystal Palace. Cherki is in the final year of his contract, making him a prime target for clubs looking to strengthen their squads before the transfer window closes.
