The situation arose due to weather conditions, and passengers were informed that a new crew was en route from Miami to assist them. Henriquez described the frustrating 14-hour wait, during which communication from airline staff was minimal. He noted that only two employees interacted with the passengers until the final hour of their ordeal. When they were finally reboarded to continue to Miami, Henriquez was told he had been booked on a connecting flight to Raleigh, only to discover upon arrival that the flight was full and he had never been confirmed on it. He was informed that no alternative flights were available for two days. The passenger expressed concern about the implications of being stranded in the Bahamas on his immigration status, emphasizing that he never intended to leave the country.
