Surge in wealthy travelers to the UK as first class bookings rise 27%

Emirates airline has reported a significant 27% increase in first class bookings from China and 17% from India during the first half of 2025 as compared to the previous year. Additionally, business class bookings from Australia have also risen by 10%. This surge is expected to contribute to the economic growth of the UK, which aims for 50 million international visitors each year by 2030. Furthermore, regional airports such as Glasgow and Newcastle anticipate considerable increases in passenger numbers, with projections of an 18% rise for Glasgow and a staggering 45% for Newcastle in the latter half of 2025 compared to 2024.
