Navi Mumbai authorities are intensifying their investigation following the discovery of a body belonging to one of two missing businessmen, identified as Jain, near the Pen-Khopoli State Highway. The search began after the pair, who had been reported missing since Wednesday, were last seen in a car that was later found abandoned with a bullet mark and blood stains inside. Aamir Khanzada, Jain's business partner, remains unaccounted for. The families of the missing men had alerted the Nerul police, prompting a manhunt after the car was located on the expressway. Both businessmen had been known to frequently meet for business discussions, returning home late at night. The police have formed 12 specialized teams to investigate various aspects of the case, including reviewing CCTV footage to trace the vehicle's movements prior to its abandonment. Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Dahane confirmed that an initial case of attempted murder was registered due to the bullet mark found on the car. Following the recovery of Jain's body, murder charges have been added against unidentified suspects. Investigators discovered two bullet shells in the vehicle, and the exact cause of Jain's death will be determined pending the results of a post-mortem examination. The case has raised concerns in the local community, as police continue to search for Khanzada and gather evidence to bring those responsible to justice.
