Thieves Rob Shoe and Computer Store
- A high-end shoe store and computer shop in Canoga Park was robbed by thieves.
- The store's surveillance footage captured a white van with two suspects.
- Owner David Far suspects the thieves disrupted the security camera signal to avoid detection.
In the early hours of Tuesday, a high-end shoe store in Canoga Park, Sneaker Hustle, was burglarized, prompting a swift response from the Los Angeles Police Department. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m., when the store owners were alerted to the break-in. Upon arrival, police pursued two suspects who fled the scene in a white van. The chase ended when the suspects abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. One suspect was apprehended, while the other remains at large. Investigators believe the same duo was responsible for an earlier burglary at a nearby computer and phone repair shop, TEKDEP, which was targeted just 20 minutes prior. Surveillance footage revealed two individuals in dark clothing breaking in through the back door, stealing computers, equipment, and even the owner's firearm. TEKDEP owner David Far suspects that the thieves may have jammed the Wi-Fi signal to disable the security cameras during the crime, as the video feed abruptly cut out. This incident is part of a troubling trend, as shoe stores in the area have increasingly become targets for theft. Just last Friday, Rich LA, another shoe store in South Los Angeles, reported a significant burglary, with thieves making off with $100,000 in cash and merchandise. This marked the seventh burglary for the store since its opening two months ago, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by local businesses in securing their properties.
