Man, 57, dies in Wales while trying to separate frozen burgers

In July of the previous year, Barry Griffiths, a 57-year-old man, tragically died in his flat located in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, Wales. The circumstances surrounding his death indicated that he had been attempting to separate two frozen burgers using a knife when the accident occurred. The kitchen was found with two uncooked burgers, a knife, and a tea towel on the work surface, while the freezer drawer was left open, suggesting a struggle to access the food. Mr. Griffiths had limited use of one arm due to a previous stroke, which may have contributed to the accident. Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Rees expressed that the evidence pointed towards an accidental death rather than suicide or foul play. The coroner, Patricia Morgan, concluded that the death was most likely an unfortunate accident while preparing a meal.
