Chemours highlights commitment to sustainability by announcing Responsible Supplier Awards winners

In the ongoing effort to promote corporate responsibility, Chemours, known for its dedication to sustainability, has recognized exemplary partners through the fifth annual Responsible Supplier Awards. These awards celebrate suppliers who align with Chemours’ objectives of advancing quality, innovation, and sustainability within the supply chain. On the day of the announcement, the winners included Nation Ford Chemical Company in the Star Supplier category, DSV AS (Group) in Logistics, TAUW BV in Indirect, and ITW SEXTON CAN CO INC in the Direct category. This initiative underscores Chemours' mission to build a responsible procurement organization engaged in proactive and innovative practices. Gladys Gabriel, Chemours’ VP and Chief Procurement Officer, emphasized the importance of sustainability in their operations and the need for a Sustainable Supply Chain. Gabriel noted that recognizing these suppliers further solidifies Chemours' commitment to the goals set out in its Corporate Responsibility Commitment. A critical element of this initiative is their pursuit of engaging suppliers who not only meet business needs but also share a dedication to improving sustainability practices and corporate responsibility. To be eligible for the Responsible Supplier Award, all Chemours suppliers needed to hold a valid sustainability scorecard, which measures their performance in areas including environmental impact, labor practices, and ethical business conduct. The acknowledgment aims to inspire other suppliers within the network to enhance their sustainability efforts and have a positive influence across the industry.
