Maple Leafs sign Pacioretty and Lorentz, nearing cap limit

Despite struggling with injuries over the past three seasons, Pacioretty has a strong scoring history, having netted 303 goals in his previous 11 seasons. The Maple Leafs are currently managing their salary cap by placing several players on long-term injured reserve, allowing them to get within $1 of the $88 million cap limit.
