CARNEGIE, Pa. (KDKA) - A woman was discovered severely beaten beneath a bridge in Carnegie early Sunday morning, prompting an immediate police investigation. Authorities were alerted to a person calling for help in the 200 block of Mary Street shortly before 6:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations revealed that the victim had been living under the bridge with two men. The previous evening, police and emergency medical services had responded to the same location for one of the men experiencing a seizure, who was subsequently hospitalized. At that time, both the victim and the other man were reported to be unharmed. Following the discovery of the woman's body, police took one of the men into custody and transported him to the Allegheny County Jail. Authorities have confirmed that all individuals involved have been identified, and they assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to community safety.
